Thats not even close to what you wanted??!! Was it your usual hairdresser?
I like the dark colour on you, I think it suits you! But I get that it's not what you were after.
I love the Ashlee Simpson colour, it's pretty much the colour mine is now. I was dark (like yours now) & to get it red, my hairdresser had to bleach bath it right back (prob not what you wanted to hear, sorry!) then it was dyed the red.
It's a lot more maintenance & I've just been dying it at home to save on the more-required hairdresser trips the red entails!
If it was your usual hairdresser & you're close to him/her, I'd go & speak to them about it to see if they can fix it. I don't think it's something you'll be able to fix at home but a more hair-savvy hubber may be able to help with a home fix, good luck & good luck with the new job tomorrow

Oh dear, i do love the colour though! Did you say anything in the hairdressers?! Usually they ask you how it looks and if you are happy dont they?

I don't have a 'usual' hairdresser.. and this is probably the reason why. I can never find one I can trust! I loved the cut she did.. but my god it looks nothing like what I wanted.
She asked me what I thought and I said.. 'ummmm its really dark' and she said it will fade heaps after a few washes and then got someone else to blowwave my hair. I am one of those people who will just pay and walk away because I don't like hurting peoples feelings or offending people. And I figured I didn't want her to try and fix it.. she'd probably make it worse!!
I reallllly don't wanna have to bleach my hair. Have done that once before and your hair is NEVER the same. Took me ages to grow out my natural color.

Ahh the Ashley Simpson auburn...I tried getting that colour...4 times with the same hair dresser. Every time, it was nowhere near. Like you, I kept getting a dark brown and then got a weird orange. I was starting to think there was something wrong with my eyes because how could what I get be soo far off what I was asking for? Anywho, changed hair dresser and she gave me what I wanted. Loved it.
I actually like that dark colour on you! Looks really nice! Would take you a bit to get used to, but as a first impression, I think it looks good. If it was me, Id rock the dark brown for a while and go to a different hair dresser next time and ask for the Ashley colour again and see how close it gets. By then though, you might want something different altogether!
Good luck for your first day at the new job
(p.s. I love your hair clip Lol)

I like the dark colour. But understand your frustration. Also understand that you don't want to say anything but definitely go back if you can. Be nice and just say it wasn't what you asked for and you're not happy. Salons have products that do help strip colour but you can't leave it too long. Like a toner for helping bleached hair. You probably paid a lot of money and it seems a waste not to say something- think you would return an outfit if it wasn't right, right?
But I will say again, the colour (albeit it isn't what you wanted) looks lovely... You will still look great for your new job. 😄

Thank you so much everyone. Feeling a bit better about it. I'll try and rock the brown for a while and save for another trip to a different HD!

Priceline have a myhd colour stripper that is really gentile I used it on mine before I went back blonde.
Otherwise go back, they didn't give you what you asked for and they should know.
Although as a hairdresser it always made me feel bad when this happened it was the best thing, I've found that a lot of hairdressers over here don't listen to the clients wants and needs though.. Goodluck
