Default travelling oz when pregnant or with bub

My partner and I plan on having a baby next year, but I also have an English friend coming out to travel. My partner and I were hoping to travel a bit of Australia with her for a couple of months.

Does anyone have any views or experiences on travelling Australia either while pregnant or with a baby? And if with a baby, at what age do you recommend?

Any tips, advice, recommendations, comments of any kind welcome.
    Thanks
    Ella

My SIL left in September of last year to travel around Oz with her DP, their DS who was almost 2 and DD who was 4 months. Just them and a camper van and they love it so much they're still not back! They've been camping at most places and she says it just took some getting used to at first. She had the kids sleep in their camp bed/cot at home for a few months before they left to get used to it.
