Where unexpected visitors might see?
The kitchen, bedrooms?
I tend to do bedrooms, and I was thinking it's all good getting them done first, but if someone rocks up, they don't really see how clean the bedrooms are lol...,
Thinking maybe the lounge and dining might be a wiser starting point

What room do you clean first?

I usually start with the kitchen and lounge rooms first, followed by bedrooms, dining rooms and bathrooms last. Oh, the joys of cleaning huh!
(This is my normal, everyday cleaning routine) so visitors unexpected doesn't really change my order, unless I had to give the main bathroom another clean after the kids have finished painting with the toothpaste and smudging the mirror.

Yeah, I always start with the kitchen and then the lounge.
It's never really really messy so usually I just have to pack the dishwasher and wipe down the benches, and then I tackle the lounge where DP leaves his clothes and things .
The guest bathroom always tends to get dirty becaues DP prefers that over our ensuite, so I'm always trying to keep that clean in case of guests. Typical though...the day we have an unexpected guest is the day I haven't cleaned it
If we have unexpected visitors I will just shut the bedroom and office door.

Lounge first, then kitchen, then bathrooms, then laundry, then bedrooms its a bit of an art isn't it?

This is my order of priority: lounge/kitchen (it's open plan) then bathroom. My bedroom is always pretty tidy so I never have to worry about that, I make my bed as soon as I get up in the morning.

My DF is a clean freak so it doesn't really matter if we have unexpected visitors as it's tidy anyway but in our normal cleans we usually do kitchen first, dining/lounge area then bathroom and the bedrooms last.

Kitchen, lounge, bathroom, my bedroom. And I sweep/mop the hallway and shut off the doors to my feral housemate's rooms!

Well I'm loving only having carpet in our bedroom so I just run around with the broom, our mess is mainly toys or other things the kids left laying around like a random sock or shoes oh and dishes, always plenty to wash up daily. Still have a box or two that I haven't unpacked yet either
