    Default I feel like crying

This morning checked coops pocket at school to see if there were any notes and there was one. The note says that he will be getting an award at assembly tomorrow.

I cant be there. They start assembly at 8:40 and i would have to leave the school by 9am to race down to the train station to catch the last possible train i could catch to my coarse i am doing.

I am very proud of him yet he will be so disappointed nobody was there to see him get it.

I have just called up the school and because tomorrow is the induction of all the leaders, award will be given out next week as the office put me through to his teacher.

Someone will try and make that otherwise teacher said she will take photos as she forgot tomorrow was induction for the leaders.

for the sake of 15 minutes and making your lil man happy...i would just be late that day.

Often things happen that can make us 15 mins late...trains late etc...

Hope your course is great...but 15 mins needs to be weighed up...what is worth more...a possible head shake from your teacher or a very happy son...choice is easy

Aw Bec- I totally get where your coming from. As a working Mum- I can't always be at the assembleys and such and it just tears you up.

Last year, I spoke to the teacher and asked if she could let me know if he was due to get an award. She did, and I went and saw it but it was difficult to make happen.
This year, I didn't get in in time. He was the first of his class to get the Worker of the Week award last week, and I missed it. Came home with it crumpled in his bag. We celebrated that afternoon/night instead.
