    I hate buying useless presents and usually ask the mum what they would like anyway. Or give money. I would love it if I got suggestions on an invite.

    Helpful...definitely! But I would re-word the 'present/presence' pun... I've seen similar ones on wedding invites and I just groan a bit!!

    It is helpful, but yes I agree above. The paragraphs also kind of mock each other - in that you say please don't bring presents, oh but if you do this is what we would like.

    Having said that I have been trying to come up with better words and can't!

    Helpful!! Kids are so hard to buy for!! I always ask but as a rule I never buy toys. Fun craft or books because I never know what toys they have or if they are like DD and have WAY too many!!

    I dread birthdays.. More toys!!

    Definitely helpful! I always tend to ask what is wanted/needed and this just gives them options, but agree with
    PP about re-wording it

    See isn't the point of a baby shower to give gifts? So in that case I would just make a list!

    I came in here about to say "No I wouldn't" However the way you worded it sounds great and definitely helpful (nothing worse then getting wrong sizes etc) doesn't mean they have to do it but you sure have said it politely
