I'm just wondering if any ladies here that had steroid injections for a possible preterm birth suffered from side effects. I had a flushed cheek last night (just the one) and today the palms of my hands are SO HOT! They're also quite spotty and I can feel the soles of my feet are starting to do the same.
Did anyone else have this issue or any others? Would love to hear your stories.

No side effects for me! Maybe just a slight reaction for you due to a bit of an intolerance to something in the injection? Hope your bubba is all okay xx

hrmm.. well the flushed cheeks are back (both this time) and my palms are still so hot and blotchy red. I'll see how it goes over the next few days..

I didn't get enough time to have the steroid shots.
If I did have them and had reactions like that I would call the maternity ward, just to be on the safe side.
Good luck x

Ive had a couple of sets and sorry I'm no use, but I had no side effects either but Ive heard of the facial flushing with steroid shots. Id call you Ob or hopsital as you normally have to have 2 shots 24-48 hours apart so its going to get a little worse, sorry

I had my injection 10 hours ago and the nurse told me a common side effect is hot flushes. And she's right! Do you have to have another one, and if so can you ask then? I have my second shot tomorrow morning. Failing that, just do as others have suggested and call the mat ward - best to set your mind at ease.

Thanks everyone. I've had my second shot, they had me have them 12 hours apart. I managed to find info on the face flushing, but the hand thing is a weird one. It's starting to go down now though, and I don't feel like my hands are on fire. I'm going to put it down to the steroids unless it randomly flares up again.
