Default Ergo heart to heart insert

    Hi all
I'm expecting my 2nd baby in June and have a question about the ergo carrier insert
I was looking at them today and wondering if it's a waste of money as I have a bubba moe sling and 2 baby born slings which tbh I find much easier to put on than the ergo. Plus I'll have a 3 yr old to contend with as well
Should I just use the other slings until bubs is big enough to fit in the ergo? How long do you need the insert for. I thought about getting an insert 2nd hand, but they are only 34 dollars, which to me takes away the hassle out of finding one on gumtree etc and having to drive somewhere to pick it up
    Wdyt??

If you have other carriers then I wouldn't bother. I hated my ergo when she was a newborn and the insert made it even more awkward and bulky. I think ethos are really designed for older babies and toddlers.

My DD was born nearly 3kg and we used it from newborn to 5 months when she was about 6kgs and 60cm.

I love the ergo but depending on when bubs is due the heart 2 heart makes it very warm and cozy in there - not ideal for summer - sling might be cooler?

I'd just use the others too. DD doesn't spend much time in her Ergo, but when she was tiny I just used my Baby Bjorn. It would have been a bit too warm to use an insert (she was born in Oct).
