Thanks everyone!! Hearing positive feedback fills me with confidence again lol.
I honestly can't say i would consider Harper for a girl, it just seems masculine & boyish to me. But i think that's because i know it is really a boys name, plus it just seems too popular for girls at the moment. I am worried that people will assume it's a girl when they see it written, especially following Violet on a birthday card or something lol.

I think I'm set on Freya, my only concern is that it doesn't suit a woman in her 30s or 40s but I'm starting to think it will.

Thank you all so much, i really appreciate your honesty. (:

IMO, I think it would suit a lady in her 30s or 40s. It's not really my style but I do think it is a good, all ages name.

Agree with the others, Harper is a unisex name.

Love Freya, know a few now too. To me Harper is girl, but I only know girl Harpers, not a fan.

I think they're both great names and see no problem with Harper for a boy. At the end of the day it's got to be what YOU want and feel to name your child, not others, so don't let other people influence you out of your chosen names.

Freya, wow that's a beautiful name. I have never heard it before. But just because something is not common doesn't mean anything. I think it's nice to have a unique name.
And I love the name Harper for a boy.

I found that when I was telling people about the name I wanted for my son everyone had an opinion do I stopped telling people or told them I was still thinking about it. If you are happy with it then thats all that matters.
