I'm going to the movies with a friend while dd is at school but not in celebration of v- day. V-day is most definitely a couples holiday being single ill be happy if dd brings home a v-day mummy card from school :-)

We treat it just like any other day. We went out once for dinner and were frustrated by how many restaurants had two set seatings and a restricted menu. I see the practicalities from their perspective but I found it annoying. I would rather do something a different day in lieu.

I don't celebrate it...it's just another day to me.

We are going out the day after, maybe have dinner, maybe see a movie. I can't make any plans concrete at the moment as some days I feel just horrible and want to curl in bed and curse. But if all is well, the kids will be at nana's and we'll go out.

^ As above. (Witwicky's post)
Those days are long left in my teenage years.

DP and I don't have any money this year so we won't be celebrating it.
We usually go away somewhere overnight.
I might bake him a cake or something.

I'm surprising DH with a helicopter ride over the Rottnest Island for lunch on the weekend! But not because of V-day, because its his birthday on V-day! The chopper pilot is a friend and DH has been wanting to go for a ride for ages and I keep shutting down the idea while secretly organising it in the background
