Default How to remove stubborn sticker from school shirt?

I tried peeling a sticker off my Ds's school shirt and only the top layer came off. I have got most of the sticky stuff off but there are all these pilly spots of sticky stuff left and it makes it look dirty.
The shirt was brand new arghh so annoying.

Does anyone know how to get it off without wrecking the shirt?

Soak in hot water and rub with an old towel.

But wouldn't the oil leave a wet looking stain? I have had trouble getting oil stains off shirts too.

Another fan of eucalyptus oil for getting any adhesive off from any surface or fabric without leaving residue.

Eucalyptus oil or Oomph Stain Removing spray (my husband got me some at Bunnings) both work great!
