Default Longer cycles since being pregnant..

Just wondering if it's normal to have longer menstrual cycles since being pregnant? I am 10 months postpartum and had my first period at 6 weeks. My cycle used to be 28 days (30 at the very most), but now they're over 40 days. I'm not breasfeeding either. TIA

I'm 7 months pp and got mine back at 6 weeks also. They were normal until the last cycle. I hadn't been tracking them but feel they were all normal length ie 28-30 days though 5-7 days instead of 4. This last one i tracked as we're ttc again this month and it was 41 days, lasted 4 days but day 2 took me by surprise! Heavier than first days of lochia!! I was caught out at the shops and had to get new pants and shorts after a sudden gush, so embarrasing, haven't had that happen before ever. Be interesting to see what this cycle is like!
