DP and I have been struggling to come up with a name that we both love.
He has suggested Millie which I really do love. The only problem I am wondering about is this...Millie is usually a nickname so will people be forever asking her what it's short for?
Do you think it's a nice name that would suit a girl through all stages of her life?
We've been a bit stumped on a middle name for her, but we both like Elise. Do you prefer it spelt Elise or Elyse? Any other ideas on middle names?
Thanks so much for your opinions! I had no idea we would struggle so much with choosing a name, and I really want to name her asap.

I know 2 Amelia's and we call them both Millie. I like it on it's own though... it's very pretty!

DD1 has a Millie in her class not short for anything but I know a Millicent who goes by Millie. Millicent is just for her 'big' name if she wants to use it later.

Thanks! I'm really glad that Millie can be a name in its own right...phew!
Jane, thanks for your ideas on a middle name! I can't use Kate because that's my name, but I do like Eve! I will ask DP what he thinks as he's the fussy one

DH and I are having the same problem right now - we were convinced we were having a boy, so had not even thought about girls names!!
I have a friend who goes by the nn of Millie, her full name is Matilda for something different...
Of the above middle names I vote for Matilda Rose, very pretty
