I've bought the book, read a few chapters, but haven't as yet implemented any. I need to finish if before I can say whether or not I would recommend it though. So far it seems plausible.

I've done the training for 1,2,3 Magic! And the Triple-P Parenting program. I think they are wonderful. As a trained teacher and a psychologist, I used these methods with foster kids for years and will probably do the same with my own bub.
The classes are really fantastic because you meet others who understand what you are going through, but the books alone have a lot of benefit too.
Good luck!

My maternal child health nurse recommended the triple p course for when my DS is 12 months old. I'm not sure if I want to go, can you tell me a bit about it?

I'd love to do the classes but have never found any in my area.

Isn't it basically the old fashion, "you've got 3 seconds to get off the cat..1...2.." rehashed?
I remember doing this in Harvey Norman once with my eldest, and the young sales guy said, "So you show you authority by proving you can count to three, huh. Well done". He lost a sale..

No its not Miss Poss, its a bit more indepth than that which is why Uniquey said she has to read more of the book. I think it's great it has helped us immensely! I have it from iBooks and it was quiet cheap $9ish.

Awesome book, although I never read all of it lol. We have just started it with ds2 who is 17months and he is already starting to understand it which is great as he was starting to send us nuts with his climbing and tantrums

I bought it, but won't be using it yet. I found it on Book Depository for $15 which I thought was pretty good.
