I've had a few random tears between the major and minor labia lately (nfi how i got them - can't even blame s3x ), anyway - either a bit of honey (especially manduca)
or a sheet of seaweed work wonders on labial cuts/tears
I know i sound nutty - but that's what a lot of the super-crunchy homebirth midwives get women to do for birth-tears that aren't severe enough to require suturing
And i swear by seaweed for any cuts now but if its non-genital area you need to keep it slightly moist by other means.

Thanks IVFmumof2. I'm all for a hearty chuckle.
Funny I should find this thread now.... I have a cut on mine, and my GOD does it sting when I pee its vey uncomfortable and even sitting makes it hurt. Did your Dr say if there is anything that will make it heal faster? I'm TTC like right this minute and I just know its going to hurt big time pvulayion
My doctor said that gentle washing, no soaps etc and patience would make it heal. She did offer to close up the hole with suture glue but as there was no pain and no chance of it flying off and she was happy for it to be left to heal, I declined. It's nearly closed up now.
First degree: involving fourchette, hymen, labia, skin, vaginal mucosa
Second degree: involving pelvic floor, perineal muscle, vaginal muscle
Third degree: involving anal sphincter, rectovaginal septum
Fourth degree: complete disruption of internal and external anal sphincter and mucosa

Mine is definitely not a hole, just cuts/scratches.... This is going to be waaaay TMI but I woke up the other morning to this shocking stinging pain in my v-jay jay and blood all over one hand and under my nails... Must have been having a good old scratch.... Gross I know!! I think I have 3 cuts/scratches, two on my labia minora and one right up close to my ahem hole 😳.
Every time I wipe after peeing I would tear them again so it's taking a while to heal, it's stinging less now so I think I'm nearly there!
But holy crap having a hole down there would be scary as!!! Especially if you can put your finger through it 😱 that's some scary stuff!!!

Oh I lost all decorum when I had my first child, Siege. Nothing is TMI anymore! *lol*
Do get your fanny seen to. Not all cuts are the same and some do require attention and if you're experiencing pain and blood, I'd be definitely seeing a doctor.

I thought I was the only one!! Oh gosh, should have checked how old the thread was before I posted..but I think my hole appeared after miss 1 parting through the gates, midwife had stitched up something down there, but I was mortified & couldn't look so I have no idea what was actually stitched up..I'm due with number 2 in 7 months & I'm so scared it is going to rip! I'm hoping I'm worrying about nothing, but it's a HOLE! I had found it maybe a year or two after the birth (I NEVER venture haha) freaked out once I did find it, but soon forgot about it..until now. Having a peek with a mirror for something else & oh hey, see straight through. So I'm freaking again. Doesn't seem to have gotten smaller in the past couple of years since last time I came face to face with the hole..
Hope yours healed up!

Well if that isn't a subject line to draw you in! 😂
I'd say it's worth a trip to the GP. How does that even happen? Especially without causing some serious pain.. piercing gone wrong?
I'd say post a pic (for the quirky medicine value only!!) but given the area it's in, it probably wouldn't be appropriate.
I hope it all works out ok! I haven't read all the comments yet so I'm not sure if you had some resolution on this one..
