    Default SJOG Murdoch

I've just gotten in with Dr Jacques Pretorius at SJOG Murdoch, has anyone used him before?

I tried most of the others but they are fully booked!

    Any feedback would be great!

I currently trying to find a good OB/GYN in Perth. I live SOR.

I had delivered my son via c section as a public patient at KEMH 4 yrs ago. The experience at KEMH is nothing short of exceptional. However, due to two continuous miscarriages in 2013 (first loss on my birthday in June and second just 5 days short of Christmas and exactly 6mths from the first loss), I am thinking of going private for the next pregnancy.

My friend has recommended Dr Linda Wong as two of her friends have used Dr Wong and she is quite highly recommended in some forums as well.

I would like to find a ob/gyn who is good at handling pregnancy after miscarriages. I would also like to ask if private ob/gyn does scans during their consultations at their offices? I think I would like a ob/gyn who is thorough and able to give me more scans and tests if necessary.

I am not too fuss about going natural or c-section for the next birth but would really love to have more care during the pregnancy to assure me things are ok. I am not too fuss about the hospital either as I think private hospital facilities would be same if not better than public hospital.

Going to the GP for pregnancy care is not helping as all he says is there is nothing we can do to prevent first trimester loss and no additional tests are required until third loss. Don't think I can bear going through a third loss.

My second was private at Glengarry Private Hospital. Great facilities, great midwives, amazing food. Very homely feeling as it's a small hospital, but still had level two nursery. I want booted out the door, they even asked if I wanted to stay longer :-)
I was under the care of a gp/ob who was marvelous. David van der Moezel. That meant much lower fees, each visit was $60 or $70 before medicare, and the management fee was about $300. This was 2 years ago.
I tried to get him this time round, but he doesn't deliver twins unfortunately.
Which hospital North of the river was it where you had a bad experience????
