last night I was at a friends place and we got talking about how I have trouble trying to get to sleep of a night time and so does she, she mentioned this to one off her friends and they said count back from 100, she did the night before last and said she got to 31 and cant remember after that so I gave it ago last night and I was quite dissappointed because I got all the way to 1, but a fews seconds later I must have dosed off cause I cant remember a thingso I think it actually works

haha yeah apparently an average person takes 5-7 minutes to fall asleep haha swear it always feels like so much longer !

I do relaxation....like I start from my toes and go to my head/face. What I do is I tense my toes, then relax, tense my feet, then relax and I keep going till I get to my neck, shoulders and face....my body then actually feels slightly heavier and relaxed then it's not long after that that I'm asleep.
I've also counted sheep....yes I have, but they were cartoon sheep that would make funny faces and say 'Weeee' or 'Wooohooo' everytime they jumped...that worked some of the time.
I reckon I'll try counting backwards from 100 and see how that goes.
I think the idea is that because you're focusing on sheep or numbers or whatever you're mind is emptied of the stresses or things that you are thinking about that are overstimulating your mind thus making it hard to fall asleep....so yeh might give the backwards from 100 thing a go I reckon!

Lol I've always had issues with going to sleep and tried counting back from 100 the other night, having a song stuck in your head at the same time doesn't help. Just watch it after your pregnancy as I got a lot worse and took at least 6 hours ever night to fall asleep and had to go on sleeping tablets for a while but hated them.

I take ages, sometimes hours to fall asleep!! My minds always racing. May try thecounting one. Anyone tried homeopathic stuff?

I tried it last night after I did the relaxation thing and I can't remember where I got to, actually I had a micro dream then woke up and tried to continue counting and thought I was around 40 somewhere so I tried to continue....then it was morning LOL
