Question about chemical straightening... Have people had success? I am so over my mid back length curly curly curly hair I'm about to cut it all off but I know I will regret that. How much was it? Did you like? Did it kill your hair? Was your hair colored as well?
Yep, I had Bio Ionic Hair Straightening done. Love it! Mind you, my hair isn't frizzy or overly curly, but being able to get up and it be straight! It was straight out of the shower/pool etc...
    Nope, didn't kill my hair.
    Hair was colored black.
Guy who does mine is a trainer - its not cheap, but lasts until your hair grows out.

Once this bub is born and I've stopped BFing I'm getting it done again.

My cousin spent $100 and an hour on her "straightening" did jack all...
My hair (shoulder length) took about 7 hours.

7 hours. Far out it would want to work lol

I might google the keratin relaxing sounds good because I'd still like some body even soft curls, just not the ringlets I currently have it drives me up the wall. I want to be able to run my fingers through my hair. My DD3 is fascinated by other ladies straight hair, she will sit and pat my friends hair for ages. I want her to do that to me *stamps foot*. She has inherited my ringlets poor girl.

I've had the bio ionic done twice now. It's awesome, very expensive, but I'd wash my hair, blast it with the hair dryer and it would look like I'd just walked out of the hairdresser. Loved it!

I'm trying out the keratin smoothing treatment next month.i know it won't be as good as the bio ionic, but it's heaps cheaper, and if it gets rid of the frizziness I'll be happy!

Wait till you go to a trainer it's a pain, but he is good

I miss being able to walk out with straight hair.

Eliza - my guy is a perfectionist (and I mean perfectionist) so he takes his time. The bio ionic is perfect for the straight as paper look but if you're after curls, then look for the keratin smoother.

I nearly went a perm again (oh the poodle look lol) but haven't.
I'm too scared to visit my hair dresser as well I went else where and went fire truck red! *shock* lol.

Oh and I'm lucky that my hair curls/waves/ringlets once it gets to my shoulders, so I can kinda get away with longer times between bio ionic.

Whoever you do go to, make sure whatever treatment, they're not dodgy... As it can damage your hair with any treatment, relaxer, bio ionic etc...
Bio ionic changes your hair structure and makes it soft and silky (now I seem like a sales woman lol).

Soft and silky sounds divine but the expense not so much :/ I'm a student currently, might need to save that for the end of Uni.

Oh I know that feeling. My last treatment I paid half and the rest was a gift. I may have to sell hubby for the next lot
