This has been bugging me ever since i seen it last night, DH thinks im lame but i just want to know out of curiosity really.
I was watching Neighbours last night and Summer was waiting for Andrew to find out what course they got into at uni. They found this out by looking in a newspaper, im assuming like a Sun Herald or something like that.
Now dont get me wrong i know Neighbours is a soapy and can be pretty full of crap at times but seriously is that how you find out what course you got into at uni? By buying a newspaper and looking up your name.
(The paper was a VIC paper so im asking mostly for those that live in Victoria)

Yep, it gets published in the paper. Usually you can find out online well before the newspaper comes out though

Ok. I thought you would find out by post or phone or something like that.

Andrew said to Summer that she should just look it up on her phone, but then he said "yeah i know, you want to do it the old fashioned way"

Can find out online earlier (like at midnight) then its published in the paper and you also get a letter. At least that's how it was in QLD when I finished year 12.

So i guess it's done the same everywhere i didnt goto to uni so i wasnt sure .
It just seem's a little strange publishing that kind of information in a newspaper for pretty much everyone to see.
Thanks for the replys
