I think that endo thickness is really good for CD8! It will be a lovely
thickness once your follies are ready. I have always struggled with my endo
thickness. I think 9 was the best I got. I triggered at 8 this cycle.
I pay $160 per scan & get $80 back. So $60 net per scan & consult seems reasonable
Mam - thats a really interesting way to charge you.. good if your cycle goes
long or needs more monitoring. I have seen my FS prob 3-4 times in 6
cycles, a lot of phone contact, he charges about $75 per visit and I get half
back on MC. Blood tests are covered by MC and scan as above - 1 scan per cycle is all I have needed. Pens and HCG should be the same anywhere as they are covered by PBS, so $35 per pen & $20 per HCG is exactly what I pay too.
And Fx for your prog result, Mam. I am sure it will be good - I think you have ovulated! They are looking for a prog level over 20 usually. And the nurses comment makes perfect sense, I always seem to get AF type cramps at about 8-9dpt - so now I know why!
Keep us posted, Lee xo

Thanks ladies for you replies.
Well...i hope it bloody thickens LOL
My headaches are not getting any better
I am at work and can barley concentrate.
I got my puregon pen from the FS and a few boxes of the needles.
All i had to buy was the injections, which also came with needles.
I payed $35.40 for two boxes of puregon. I thought that was pretty good.

Update for me re: trigger shot side effects....OMG!!! The trigger shot has turned me into a MEGA ***** with a rollercoaster of girly, cry at the drop of a hat emotions!!! I have never experienced this before, even when I had the trigger shot for IVF. Wow, it must be some potent sh*t.
Poor DH, he has been going to this course for work and is super stressed over it and so tired from working, doing the course and being on call at night for work and last night I flipped. He was tired when it came time to DTD and I interpreted that as being that he doesn't care about TTC etc etc. I was crying over nothing, slamming doors, telling him if he didn't want to have a baby with me then I would find a sperm donor and do it myself. I was a crazy woman!
Is this type of side effect normal?
It was about 11pm before we made up and well let me just say (sorry TMI) if that doesn't make a baby I don't know what will!

Sorry if I miss anyone in this post - lots of new people/ new info and my brain is slow this morning!
Babydust - Yes, I agree with Mam about the lining thickening. The follicles have to grow to start pumping out the estrogen to thicken the lining. Hope the headaches get better for you soon! I always get nausea toward the second part of the cycle too. Fooled me into thinking I was pregnant the first time...
Minipolly - Keep us posted! How are you doing?
Lee - How are things going for you?
21 and trying - Hope you are having a nice break, and for you naturally!
1xbabyplease- How are you doing? Have you managed to stay away from testing...? I'm a shocker for that... I last about 5 minutes!
Mam - How frustrating to have to wait a few more days! That sounds promising about your progesterone rising though... Woo hoo for ovulating! And cramping sounds good...?? Keep us posted!
Nturnbull - Welcome! I think the trigger shot + the emotions/ stress of the whole thing combine to make us all a bit crazy in the last part of the cycle. I had a total meltdown last cycle, and ended up crying in coffee shops/ cancelling appointments - horrible. I actually felt distraught - as if someone had died - and I had no idea why. I asked the FS about it, and he said it was just the hormones. Nasty stuff.
AFM - I saw the FS on Tuesday and had a scan, and he could see one big follicle on the right and 2 smaller ones on the left. None were big enough to trigger, so he told me to keep jabbing and then come back Friday (tomorrow). So the plan is to trigger tomorrow, and the do the IUI on Sat morning. And then back to the dreaded 2ww. It's all a bit of a merry-go-round!
Went to a birthday lunch for a friend last weekend, and some of her friends (who we'd never met) kept telling DH and I that we should hurry up and have another child, and that a 2 year gap is ideal and DD is already 19mths, etc. etc. We didn't want to launch into the whole saga with them, so just kept nodding and trying to change the subject and saying things like "Well, we would love to. We'll have one when it happens..." But they didn't seem to pick up on it, and it just went on and on. I took solace in my glass of wine...

I'm waiting to pick my DP up from work and have been thinking about babies again!! So I thought I would share a list of things I am going to do if/when I get a BFN!!
- Get drunk at my wedding
- Get my hair chemically straightened with one of those keratin treatment things
- Go even more blonde
- Have a pizza and lollies night
- Do a pole dancing class
- Have a big massage and facial
Now I have something I look forward to no matter what the result!!

Definitely a great idea to plan those things!
I'm thinking like that with my holiday. The hotel we've booked gives free champagne every day, so I will definitely look forward to that if I'm not pregnant!
