    Default Clever ideas

    http://www.thedailybuzz.com.au/2011/...storage-ideas/

I do a lot of these already but I'm going to try to Velcro toy one.

Me and DD love making the cupcakes in ice cream cones then decorating them. Might make some today actually. Yum.

So does anyone else have any clever ideas they want to share?

Wow great ideas! Sad to say that I have not tried any of them- although my sheets get a similar fold. I might need to start channeling my inner domestic goddess

A friend of mine who is a mother of umm around 6 or 7 kids (I have only met 3 and keep losing track of how many there are) Taught me the Pillow case Idea. I entered in it a comp for home organising tips and won a prize last year too... I have done that one for about 10 years.

I learnt how to fold a fitted sheet from Martha when she was on Opera around 96/97.. I impress my mother to no end with that.

I have heard or seen a lot of the other ones But I am just not that organised for most of them.

    Homemade washing powder...

    No chemical fillers!

    Low allergenic.

1 cup finely grated velvet soap

1 cup borax (found usually bottom shelf laundry isle)

1 cup washing soda (not crystals)

    Essential oil of choice...

It washes great and only need a tablespoon for large wash. Safe for all machines and septic systems. Try it..

    Also..

    Fabric softener...white vinegar!

    Add favorite essential oil..

While I'm here... White vinegar is a great multipurpose cleaner that is safe for kiddies! I use it throughout my home..add lavender or eucalyptus essential oil for boosted anti bac qualities and it's a lovely way to clean your child's bath toilet etc without using nasty chemicals.

    Xxx

I love the wrapping paper storage! I have nowhere to store those rolls and it really irritates me ha ha

My only domestic tip is, i have 4 washing baskets and every evening i walk around the house, putting in things that don't belong in that room and taking out things that do. Or if i cant be fagged, the stuff just sits in the baskets until its needed

Domestic goddess I am not (<-- please don't take offence that i am disrespecting myself by using the little dude)

My best one is: Make hair detangler by mixing one part conditioner to four parts water. Shake well, spray on hair and comb through. Mix in light glitter as well to appeal to kids or to use for stage decoration, without the risk of inhaling small particles from glitter hairspray.
