Wow it's been nearly 6 years since I have been there to buy the maxi rider
I will buy a hi liner from the other baby shop, and let insurance cover the maxi rider, which is cheaper at the other shop anyway.

I'd report her to the health department considering that it's a SIDS risk.

thats gross, not just for a baby shop (sids risk anyone?) but for ANY shop. i wouldnt want to buy a sofa, clothes, computer, sheets, etc etc from a shop that stinks of smoke let alone baby stuff
