I love how autocorrect capitalises the word Bogan.

I'm don't find it overly offensive, my own mothers calls us ( her kids) bogans and rednecks all the time.
I don't think I am a bogan, sure I drive a ford, wear thongs most of the year ( or should I call them pluggers) and sometimes use naughty language. But I think "bogan" means " rough" more than being based on how you dress or decorate your house.

For anyone who is interested;
The term bogan is Australian and New Zealand slang, usually pejorative or self-deprecating, for an individual who is recognised to be from a lower class background or someone whose limited education, speech, clothing, attitude and behaviour exemplifies such a background.

I don't find it entirely offensive or inoffensive...
I do find it odd when some people get really defensive when something they like/own/etc is considered to be a bit bogan though... does it really matter if someone else doesn't like it? The reason they don't like it is that they think it's a bit bogan... but who cares? You might think the car they drive/the name they've picked for their baby/the clothes they wear are a bit pretentious...
ETA - as to coffee tables, I think that's really weird too... it was mentioned elsewhere online and I find it rather peculiar... lol.

Lilmiss i cant help but notice you are taking this rather personally. Why are you so defensive? it's a word and It doesnt always mean you are uneducated if that's what your issue is. But when it comes down to it who cares if anyone thinks you're a bogan. Or more to the point just because someones says 'xyz' is bogan doesnt mean they are calling YOU a bogan
we have holden and ford merchandise we drink too much we swear too much we're not classy we like loud cars and really we're total bogans. we're also both very well educated and make good money. who cares we're still bogans.
