So my partner and I are (finally) making it official and getting married in November and we have booked a honeymoon to Hamilton Island for 4 nights. My son will be 19 months by this time.
We have spent one or two nights away from him previously and he has been fine (but he was a lot younger). My mother lives with us and will be watching him for the 4 nights, he loves her. I am still so stressed out though and feel terribly guilty! Has anyone else left their children around this age for a similar amount of time? If so, how did they go? I feel like I won't even enjoy myself on our honeymoon and hate the fact that we are a plane ride away instead of just up the road like all other times. Appreciate any input!
