I prefer to be tanned naturally and I do tan even though I put 30+ sunscreen on every 2 hours and wear a hat when I'mat the beach or swimming in the pool (every 4 hours otherwise), if I have one day in the sun or 2 or 3 we make sure we spend the day indoors for the next 1 or 2 days and if it's super hot we stay inside. I rarely burn (only if I miss a spot with sunscreen and am out for hours).
I'm pretty thankful for that really considering I'm half scottish. I could get really tanned if I spent lots of time in the sun but I try and get a bit of a balance happening and combine enjoying what I love (I love the beach, swimming and the sun) whilst still trying to protect my skin.

I prefer pale on me because it's natural.

Howler, I'd also prefer not to have had to have a skin cancer removed from my face recently so a slightly more sun tolerant skin would be nice!

Pale another fan of the renaissance look I think it suits me well and I also prefer my guys pale

Something about tanned skin makes me think ill- skin shouldn't be the fake yellow/ orange and I find myself checking their eyes (liver damage) and if it's real I check for suspicious spots

I prefer pale but unfortunately my olive skin doesn't allow for it! I'm brown all year round, with or without the sun!

    I am B R O W N.

I send too much time at the beach (if there is such a thing).

I like my colouring. For some reason I look so much thinner (and more toned) when Ive got a bit of colour.

I go quite pale in winter though. but not nice pale a pasty pale so Ill have to say i prefer a sunkissed look for myself.

I'm very pale, and happy that way. DH prefers it to tanned skin, and I do too.

    Pale/white for me

Hate when I get any tan! What was worse was my cousins wedding where I was bridesmaid and had to stand in the sun for 30mins whilst 30weeks pregnant... I got burnt! even with sunscreen oh and nearly passed out but the groom didn't give a sh1t and I hope he finds out what that's like one day... *evil thoughts*

    BTT

But yes, I have red/pink hair ATM, and when it's black look hawt with my porcelain skin.
    Must get whiter!!!

Tanned for me! Love it. Feel so much nicer having a tan.
Haven't been to a solarium in years though so just rely on the fake stuff.

I prefer my skin with a little bit of colour. (LITTLE bit - not super tanned).

I used to have much better skin tone and would purposely keep myself very pale as my skin looked better that way. But now that it's a bit older and a bit more stretched, it looks better with a slight tan.

I have never been pale, so I don't think it would suit. I have naturally olive skin, and I love it. We are European(Hungarian) so the colour of my skin comes from my heritage. It's not extremely dark, though if I spend a day in the sun I darken easily.
