    Default Best hotel in Melbourne CBD?

    Trying to get a good deal with wotif.com...
    Preferably 5 star.
    Any recommendations.
    Late check out, spa, breakfast etc etc

    I was going to suggest Langham too.

    Or Hotel Windsor.

    Ok, looking like Langham, Windsor or Rialto intercontinental has a good special too.
    Can NOT stay at crown towers as DH stayed there the night of his first wedding to the sporn of Satan.

    I stayed at the Crown Metropol in July and was bitterly disappointed. Room was ok, but room service food was appalling and SO overpriced. Would never recommend it. The Windsor is ok if you like old fashioned decor rather than the modern look. The Stamford Plaza is really nice too.

    I've stayed in many but nothing comes close to the Sofitel on Collins Street. It is amazing and the only hotel I've stayed in in Australia that comes close to international five star standards.
