    Default Driving advice needed!

Not sure if this is in the right section but i am after some advice!
I am only now on my learners licence at the age of 25, and looking to take the practical test before my belly babe arrives mid-Jan. I am located in Perth, and am really looking for advice on passing the practical test from anyone who has passed one recently, or coz experiences i could learn or benefit from.
My husband has been taking me out every day for about a month, I am reasonably confident with every aspect of driving except reverse and parallel parking
Any advice for me when i go for the test in a couple of weeks?
    Would be much, much appreciated!

just to relax when you take the test. And try to keep as close to, but not exceed the limit. I had a friend fail for going to slowly.

    Good luck

ETA: I just noticed that you wanted people who had passed recently. My test wasn't exactly recent history. Not even in this century.

No advice as I'm in qld but good luck!!!

Only time I have done a decent parallel park is in my driving test 9 years ago! Bahaha!!

If you can parallel park fine you'll be right!! Otherwise just make sure u know how to turn on the lights and stuff (I never even knew they asked!)

    Good luck!!!

Thanks ladies, i think i may need all the luck i can get to pass first go!
One thing is though that i have only really driven barefoot, has anyone had experience or knowledge of the law in regard to that? Someone had told me it was illegal but i assume that is just a myth and i can't seem to find any legit info online?!

My one piece of advice is, if you can afford it, get one private lesson in the next week and ask them for pointers. They know what will get you passed and can help you get confident with the parking. I learnt, many years ago, from my mum and this is what I did and passed first time. It was really valuable as they take you on some of the same routes and speak to you in the same manner a tester would. Good luck with the test.

I totally agree with rae81, I finally passed mine last year (at 27 and it was a New Year's resolution!) after 4 failures over 10 years! What really helped was going for private lessons with someone I felt comfortable with. It costs a fair bit but worth it in the end.

Driving barefoot is illegal also don't worry about parallel parking it's only worth 2 points! I'm going for mine soon too! I'm in Adelaide.

    Driving Bearfoot is illegal.

Just try not to stress! That's really the only advice I have. Most people who fail usually only do so because they freak out and make silly mistakes.

    Good luck.

Use your mirrors a lot! Make it really obvious you are checking mirrors and blind spots. Careful of cutting corners, this is an automatic fail.
