How scary! I'm so sorry that happened to your little guy. It must have been so horrible to watch.
I hope he heals relatively quickly.

Oh no! Great to hear that you acted to quickly though, it probably prevented a lot more severe burns. I hope that your little, brave man recovers quickly.

This is DS's leg. The doctors have put the silver patches on, and we need to get them changed in a couple of days.
Oh your poor little girl. That looks so incredibly painful. Thanks so much for sending that photo through - I am so glad that she has healed well, and it is a relief to be able to compare. I've been worried for him about scarring.
My mum feels terrible. I keep telling her that we know it was an accident, but she is worried that DH is going to hate her for letting it happen. He doesn't, of course, but I think that it is going to take until the leg heals for her to stop feeling that wracking guilt
I am angry, but not really with her. I'm disappointed that she wasn't more careful, but I understand that accidents happen.
I think that I'm kind of just angry with the universe for letting it happen.

It's so good to be able to come on BH and express my feelings - I've been holding everything in all day so DH and mum don't feel worse than they already do.
Thanks everyone for your support. It really means a lot today
