    Default Your BEST advice?

    So after feeling like I had no idea with DS#1 (no, actually I had no idea..) and coming to the conclusion that people who write books generally have no clue about what they're writing about, I want you to tell me your favourite piece of advice you received, or the best advice you would give to someone else.

    It can be on ANYTHING - sleeping, settling, breastfeeding, formula feeding, anything. I just want to know what you have to say

    My best advice is

    Each child is different so what works for one may not work for the next.

    One of the best I have received is to make the cot up twice (ie protector then fitted sheet then protector then fitted sheet). I love the fact you don't have to fuss around in the middle of the night changing the sheets. I now tell this to all new mums I meet!!

    And, your baby knows just how much breastmilk they need and how often they need it (do not listen to those that say feed to a schedule unless you want no milk supply left!)

    If you try the advice people give you and it doesnt work dont worry - every baby is different.

    If you have to formula feed you child make the bottle up before you have to get up in the middle of the night.
