Thinking of you hun.
DH did this a lot before we were married and my heart sinks knowing how worried you've been. I hope you're both snuggled up safe and tight.
Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you .

I was widowed 11 years ago and I remember that awful 4 hour wait between my first DH being late home and actually getting the news...I was out of my mind with worry and anger that he was worrying me (before I knew what had happened).
That fear has never quite left me and I would not wish it on anyone. My new DH only went out with the boys and turned his phone off once as I went so OTT when he did not come home on time he's always kept his phone on after that (I might add I do not generally call him when out with the boys).
So I hope your DP is just snoozing on someone's front lawn and comes home soon soaking wet and twice as sheepish. Make sure you give him a massive ear bashing.

Wow, you people are amazing! Thank you so, so much for all the thoughts and kind words! I didn't expect to wake up to 5 pages of responses.
Here is the update:
At 6:18am (precisely) I woke up of someone throwing stones at the bedroom window. I ran downstairs and there he was, in all his drunken glory! Turns out he left the pub 9:30pm (mind you, had been there since 5pm) and felt soooo unwell from food poisoning (Suuuuuuuure, does he think I am a total idi0t!?!) that he just HAD to lie down for a sleep in his car which was parked across from the pub) He did of course also add that he was incredibly drunk, so it wasn't all a case of the evil crepe he had for lunch.
I'm so relieved that he is home, but I am also royally p!ssed off that he couldn't at least find a pay phone somewhere (there are several around the pub). He must have been really, really drunk. This is so out of character of him, which is why I was so worried.
He's been really sheepish, so I'm going to milk this for whatever it is worth and get him to waiter on me, take charge of the kids (yes, love; that also includes every nappy change), etc.
Again, thank you for all your support!
