Luckily the tennis ball sized hail stones didn't come through Knox. But we've had torrential rain, and lightning hit the power pole outside our house while we were all sitting there watching.
It was so bright it hurt my eyes, but my brother got it on video!
Aaaand we have no power thanks to it lol.
Hoping everybody is safe.

Has been so crazy today! Rained this morning, had a BBQ for lunch, then made it to the beach and were actually swimming ... and JUST made it home before the massive storm. What a day!

Rain, sunshine, hail and tornadoes - just another Melbourne day!
We're pretty sure our car is going to be written off, we were parked at MIL's house which got the tennis ball sized hail

we are in Melbourne and we had a light shower this arvo and a great lightning show but that was about it - we are bayside however BIL & SIL were in the northern suburbs of Melbourne seeing family and are pretty sure their car will be written off due to the damage it sustained from the hail today

We got hit with golf-sized hail stones, torrential rain and gale forced winds in the outer northern suburbs. Very, very scary. Literally seconds before everything started, we looked up and saw this massive dark cloud, wildly swirling around above us... it seriously looked like the start of a tornado. Anyways, our two year old Holden Captiva has hail damage and we think (hope) that's about it... we haven't really had the chance to look at the house in daylight yet though. A house two doors up from us had a massive gum tree go through it... the SES have only just got to it now (those SES volunteers are worth their weight in gold).
