Exclamation Anyone working in real-estate (rental), I really need to ask a question

We are being forced to live in disgusting condition, the previous tenant left a nasty surprise that the agency failed to recognise and now they are saying that’s how we got the house and to deal with it but it could potentially lead to hospitalisation and lung infection of a baby.

I would really like to know what I reasonable agent should be doing for us in the matter.

I would really like to talk to someone about this privatly, i dont know who to turn to.

If it affects your family's health, you need to breach them. If they then don't fix it, then you can either break the lease without prejudice or they must fix it in a certain time frame.
I don't know which state you are in, but go to the website of your state's rental authority to find the forms and an easy explanation on what to do.
