Because I thought that westfields wasnt going to be packed at 10pm 3 days before Xmas. As if the cops at every entrance wasn't indication enough it then took me 30 min to get a car spot. But then I forgot where I parked so a lovely westfields worker took me in his golf buggy to help find my car.
People pushing and shoving as if products where going to run out.
Drunk teenagers in the car park screaming "go parra" who knows why..
Ahh got to love Xmas.
I just got back.

I made that mistake years ago when the shops were open 24 hours for Xmas shopping...it was around 1am and finding a park took forever and the crowds were unbelievable. What was even more unbelievable was the amount of hypo small kids running around .
These days I finish my shopping by early December and do at least half of it online...it's blissful .

We went after 9pm to our local mall and it was fine. Quite chilled actually!
I'm not looking forward to food shopping tomorrow though

I haven't been but my Mum went one year and she said it was wonderful and she was the only person walking around and she felt like a celebrity with the shops open especially for her... apparently everyone pounced on her when she walked in as they were so bored Must depend on where you go.

Set yourself a reminder for early September - buy one present each week. By early December, you're either done or almost done and it's not so financially heavy since the cost is spread out. Also, look for good deals online.
