Default Convertible car seats - typical highest harness height?

    Hi all,

I'm a Canadian mum travelling to Australia early next yr, and am trying to figure out carseats while we're here. I'm considering getting convertibles or 'harness to booster' seats.

My question is regarding top harness heights on convertible seats. All I can find is these seats are good until age 4 and 18kg, but can't find anything about height or seated shoulder height. Does anyone know what the top harness heights are?

I know there are some harness to booster seats that would work, like infa secure comfi cruiser, etc, but if I can, I'm hoping to get a smaller/narrower seat so I could fit in between the kids in the back if we are driving a friend as well. We are likely renting a Corolla.

Also, inexpensive but safe choices would be great. We'll be using them for three weeks and then leaving with friends who may have kids soon.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

We have the comfi-cruiser, it is a bit bulky but we still have it fit in our car alongside 2 other carseats. The measurements from the base are 42cm/17inches to the top strap. My 2yr old it currently in this seat, it used to be my 4yr olds but he outgrew the top strap so is in different Infa secure booster but uses a H strap with the seatbelt. HTH and enjoy your Australian hoilday

Thanks! Is your car smaller or larger to be able to fit three carseats in the back?

We have a Toyota Hilux twin cab, it does fit 3 seats across the back, but it is a tight squeeze, we used to have a Ford falcon xr6 which fit 3 seat across easily.

I am not sure if the crep (independent carseat testing ) website has that info but it should have some other handy info.

There are other forums that have sticky's with 'carseat combinations that fit 3 accross '.
I have the roamer plus which is similiar to the CC, I think it is wide-ish up at the wings, It is narrower than the maxi though. I also think the babylove one is wide, as is the maxi-rider.
