There was a weather report on the radio this afternoon and at the end of it the announcer - in a serious 'news voice' - said something about there being clear skies for Santa's big journey on the weekend. haha see I just love that!!

It's what Ive grown up with. It was what I looked forward to all year (apart from birthdays obviously lol). It was magical loved the lights and the rush of it all and the excitement in the air. I continue it on with my own children out of pure enjoyment and excitement for them. I love waking up and going downstairs to the christmas tree to 'see what santa got the kids'. I honestly loooove playing santa! I wouldnt care if I personally recieved nothing and went without just to see the smiles on their faces on christmas morning. Sadly the other half doesnt like christmas or his family and they put up with it for the kids, which is a bit disappointing I think. But least they dont bring down my enthusiasm for christmas. A little excited only 3more sleeps to go!

I only do it because my child gets joy out of it plus the threats of cancelling santa is heartbreaking enough to make a 4yr old improve his behaviour haha.

Aww this thread is making me teary, but happy tears!!
I loved the magic and the lead up to Santa...every Christmas eve I would have dreams of santa, I loved waking up at the crack of dawn - or before - and seeing my santa sack filled to the brim with all kinds of goodies.
I just love the magic of it all and want DD to experience the same.
