It was all about distraction for me, if I had nothing to focus on my mind would drift back to going into labour.
So I cleaned, (things like linen cupboards which is all folding and sorting, nothing that would aggravate my SPD) watched movies, baked dinners to freeze so DH had things on hand for when I was in hospital, read books, went swimming, window shopping, caught up with friends for coffee with the strict instructions not to bring up the baby! With my second baby I re-tiled my bathroom and painted the kitchen cupboards with a heatpack strapped to my back the whole time LOL I finished with 3 days to spare!
Change of scenery is also good, I go off to the movies by myself and see some new releases, go for a pedicure and manicure, get your hair done etc etc
Good luck and I hope things happen quickly for you!

I did the same as PP. I kept myself busy cleaning: fridge, oven, walls, cupboards, garage etc. Then I walked and walked and did some self hypnosis. I recycled all sorts of stuff that we had in storage and I went out and bought a new car (bit of an expensive way to distract oneself). Good luck. I hope this time flies by.

I just sat in front of the TV, with the laptop whinging to my DIG, read and slept! I went a week over and from 38 weeks was so over it. I was uncomfortable, couldn't do much and so didn't bother trying!
I did wash the last of the clothes and put them away, but that was about it.

I slept a lot haha. I also shopped, got my nails and hair done, spent a lot of time with my sister who was off from school, re-arranged bubs room about 100 times haha.
It's hard to keep busy and take your mind off it all though. By that stage I found I was noticing every little thing that happened, and I was constantly looking for signs of labor... which never happened for me haha.

I had a BORING 3 months at home before my bub camejust over 2 years ago because my work contract finished so i had no choice. I scrubbed walls, cleaned inside cup cupboards, folded and re folded bubs clothes and did a bit of sewing. In the last 2 weeks i went literally crazy. I was absolutely HUGE and had swollen ankles. I couldnt sleep because my hips were so painfully sore. I desperately wanted my baby out so i went for quite a few short walks (as far as my body would waddle without feeling like i was going to buckle from underneith me) and watched DVD's (cried a lot) and read quite a few books (cried a lot some more). Then bub came 10 days overdue so it was actually a relief that i finally had something to do!
Wish me luck, im expecting bub #2 in May (Half way today and feel so HUGE already) and am dreading those last few weeks....especially with a toddler running circles around me. Arrrggghhhh...
