We all have gifts to buy.
We all have things to do.
We all have places to be.
We all wish that checkout chick would swipe & bag faster.
We all wish we were first in line.
We all wish the car park/shopping centre/caravan park was vacant.
We all wish tourist would vacate the town were inhabiting.
What we all need to realize is everyone has as much right to be wherever we are at any point of time. Christmas or not.

People become such jerks at this time of year. So selfish and rude. I don't get it.

I'm the one you hear saying sarcastically "thanks for knocking my kid over... I put my chewing gum in your shopping bag. Merry Christmas in a rude way you're sure to understand."
Maybe I'm kidding.
Shops aren't crazy. People are lol.

The line at the post office was out the door today, with a 20 minute wait... but I was very pleasantly surprised that people either kept their grumpiness to themselves or made light of it. Usually I'd expect a lot of sighing and hands on hips and impatiently shifting weight, so it was a nice change.

Dear Christmas Shoppers,
You chose not to undertake all your shopping and postal chores in November when the sales were still on and you had ample time and ample parking. The shopping aisles were empty then.
So while you now have gifts to buy, things to do, places to be, checkout chicks to swipe, lines to be first in, cars to park and death wishes to pass onto tourists while you stress over your credit card balance, perhaps you may wish to consider managing your time a little better next year.
I've even done my grocery shopping for the next fortnight so I won't have to endure your whinging and poor parking etiquette.
Ho, ho, ho

This is why I did my Christmas shopping in July

It's like Christmas is a shock that it's coming
Though I 'braved' the shops yesterday and it was totally fine, no dramas. The only place a little busier was woolies.

What's Christmas without shopping with the crazies??
What's Christmas without driving around and around the car park in search of a spot??
What's Christmas without lining up down the aisles in woolies?? (which reminds me of a Christmas in California where a supermarket worker said to me they have to check that customers aren't opening and drinking alcohol while lining up!!! )
And what's Christmas without the aust post line ups or frantically heading out to shop at some ridiculous hour in the middle of the night???
