Default Present ideas for a 9 year old boy

Hi everyone I am looking for ideas for a small present for a friends 9 year old boy. I would like to spend about $10 - just a little Xmas present. I need to buy it today as I am seeing them tonight. I am not sure what is age appropriate so any advice would be appreciated.
    TIA.

I dont really know 9 yr old boys but what about

    - Surf hat/wallet/pencil case/keyring. I know wallets you can get for $10
    - Itunes voucher
    - M&M dispenser (they are in target)
    - DVD- Kmart sell them cheaply.
