    Default Which spelling???

I may be getting ahead of myself since I don't even know if I am having a girl, but I love the name Alexa. The only problem is my name is Alena. She will have the same middle name as me(tradition) so there will only be 1 letter the difference. I like the nickname Lexi but whether we use it will depend (my nickname was ment to be Ali and I get Lena etc). Does Leksi work?

So I was thinking I could spell it Aleksa instead of Alexa but I am not sure. Aleksa isn't made up spelling it is the greek origin and I have found Alexa is Finnish, Sweedish origin.

    What do you think?

Alexa. A lovely name (and a lovely spelling)

If you go with 'Aleksa,' your little girl won't be capable of informing people for a number of years that she has the greek spelling: in the mean time people might just think that mummy can't spell and wanted to give her a speshul and yooneek name. And Leksi? That spelling looks like something you might see in an ikea catalogue! Ugh! Lexi is way cool

Yeah totally cool and sweet. People will call you alexa and her Alena from time to time but it will be sweet and funny.
