We are due to have a little girl in March..i'm really struggling for names..i find boys names so much easier.
I like Clara (pronouncecd - Kla ra?) but i wonder if she woud get called Claire ah?
Middle name favourite at the moment is Grace..
I like names that are not popular, but not odd enough for the child to get picked on..DS name is uncommon and old fashioned.
Any help would be appreciated

I think Clara is pretty - it reminds me of the Nutcracker! I've never heard anyone say "Clare-a"- I think that would be unusual.
I like Grace too, but it has been a 'top 10' (top 3?) middle name for the last few years, so I just thought I'd mention that if you were not so keen on the popular names.

I have a Scarlett Heidi Sophia.
I like Clara - reminds me of the girl in the wheelchair in the movie Heidi!!!
I also love Tilly!
So exciting picking names! Good luck!

I love grace because it is classical..but yes as you mentioned it does seem to be used a fair bit, but as a seconed name i don't think it's as important to me to be uncommon. It will really depend on the 1st name and if it goes lol ohhhhh so confusing lol

I have known several Clara's in my lifetime, I thought it was more of a popular name. I would be surprised if anyone thought it was pronounced Clair-ah.

I love Clara too, and can't imagine it would be mispronounced often.
I also love old fashioned/ classic but not too popular names.
(but I might be biased)
