    Default Getting ahead!

Not expecting any replies here, I just have to put it down somewhere that I'm so excited !!!! I feel like I can finally stop stressing so much about money!

We've been living on one average income, and of course at this time of the year the bills have been piling up. Including our final $1700 bill for subdividing our land.

We had no savings left due to moving house, our fridge dying etc...

I GOT A JOB!!! Ill only be making about $300 a week but thats going to be a huge help! I've called everyone with bills due and made extensions / payment plans... Which I'm paying a little extra off so that when the next bill comes we wont owe as much.

Finally starting to feel like we'll get ahead - even more so if our land sells!

Woohoo!! To everyone else struggling with money at the moment.... Don't give up! Stick to a budget, cut down where you can, and ask for extensions / payment plans if you need them!

It's incredibly hard to see when you're there... But this time WILL pass. We're not out of the woods just yet, but we are well on the way

Great work on getting the job!

and sounds like you have everything under control!

Might be a little pre-emptive but set up a rainy day account right away!

ubank has no fees and I think the interest rate is 5.11 atm? Anyway I have $5 a week going into the account and make extra payments when I can but you will be surprised at how quickly it adds up and you don't miss it!

We have a ubank account already thanks

We are going to be saving again - I made the Payment plans on bills at a level that's easily manageable. So we'll save $50 each pay as well and slowly build up again!
