I'm back to say hello and join you on BH again, had a break while getting over m/c in March & waiting for a fresh start with a new FS. Got great feedback from you all and ended up choosing Mark Livingston, was a really hard choice between the 3 most suitable for me within reasonable distance, what really tipped me with Mark was a change from IVFAU ,been with them for a long time, he sounds so thorough & personable which was sometimes missing with last FS. Anyway meet him next week and am so ready to be proactive again.
Oh and I've been making huge effort to be gluten free, but wonder if that really helps with v low amh, anyone known of success with amh of 1 or lower?
Sorry to be a big chatterbox all about me, have been quiet for so long, look forward to catching up on all the news from the rest of you girls

Nessika - I know a girl with AMH < 1. Over 2 IVF cycles she got a total of 3 eggs, and 1 ET. The next month she got a natural BFP.

I am so angry with IVFA - they suck! I've been waiting & waiting for the Medicare rebate, and rang Medicare to ask about it. Well, guess what? They never received anything from IVFA. But IVFA sent us a letter saying they had lodged it with Medicare 2 weeks ago. I rang them & no apology or anything, she just said "I'll print you out the account and send it out to you, you can lodge it yourself". 3 weeks ago I asked if I could take it straight to Medicare and lodge it myself & they said no, they do it. Grrrr!!! I needn't have wasted all this time waiting for $5k. Hardly a drop in the ocean!
Sorry for the me post, I am so angry & frustrated. They have been absolutely hopeless about every single step of the way, admin-wise.

The Time Has Come - first scan is May 9. Bit nervous. I'm travelling well with symptoms. Hoping it will all be clear cut good news this time around. for you in the 2WW!
peonies - that must be so frustrating! The last thing you need to stress about right now. Hope you're otherwise going well.

Felicita - What a positive story for the girl you mentioned - a natural BFP My experience is to get few eggs as well, my DD came from 1 egg @ EPU amh level was 1 at the time, I'm scared but need to find out if it is much lower now.
So glad to see that your twins are doing well, you did PGD too didn't you? I'm also hoping to do this next time.
The Time has come Wishing you loads of luck hope you get some positive news soon!
Peonies I recently gave IVFA some feedback with their online survey, they really stressed me out with the lack of professionalism re admin which a big factor in me changing clinics. Sorry to hear that they are stuffing you around but am so excited that you got your BFP!
Romaverona GL for your upcoming scan, Sorry I've been absent & was wondering what FS did for you to help you carry full term after you went through so much last yr?

TTHC - oooh, you kept that quiet! How exciting. for you, my dear!
Roma - I know, I was so angry yesterday. I went over there (they're in the CBD and I work in Pyrmont, so it's not exactly really close) and got the receipt and took it straight to Medicare myself. But while I was there I asked to see a nurse, and explained that I haven't heard a thing since my scan earlier in the week. What's next? Am I supposed to stay on the same pessaries dose? When do they want to do another scan? Any more blood tests? etc etc. Complete lack of information & instructions. I got her to take blood while I was there, just because I wanted to make sure my levels were still going up. She did, and she rang the FS and rang me back. He wants to to do a scan for me on Wednesday & hopes to see a heartbeat. So excited but nervous.
When I went to Medicare they said they'd already had another one that same day - someone bringing in the receipt from IVFA that said on it "this has been submitted to Medicare on your behalf" and yet they had no record of it. And they said it would take a few weeks. Hmmmm. I've already been waiting a few weeks, and we're moving house so I would really like the money. Oh well, at leeast I know it's submitted now.
Nessika - good on you. I really want to make a complaint about how this (and other things) was handled. I think I'm pregnant in spite of IVFA's best efforts otherwise! Don't get me wrong - doctors are good, it's all the other stuff where they're terrible. But anyway, I think you'll really like Mark Livingstone. He's a great guy - and his secretary is soooo nice, and very efficient. He did PGD for some friends of ours. They had lost their first child (conceived naturally) to a very rare genetic disease that they had not known they were both carriers of - it's so rare, it's not a standard test. That was very traumatic obviously, and they wanted to make sure any future children did not have this gene. So they did IVF and PGD through Mark (sheer coincidence - we didn't know it was him they went through when we saw him, but it turned out it was), and have a gorgeous little boy as well as some perfect embies in the freezer. Good luck!!!

Nessika - no, I didn't do PGD. You might be thinking of Lindylou78.
In our case we always transferred the best 1 or 2 of a bad bunch. FS figured that since the embryo growth (or lack thereof) had already selected out 1 or 2 then it was cheaper to find out if they were good enough by transferring rather than by doing PGD. If we'd been lucky enough to have had a bunch to choose from on any cycle, then PGD would have been on the cards.

Hi ladies hope everyone is well
Just a quick one from me. I am 7 days past my 5 dt and I started spotting this morning. I am gutted It's very light and brown but has been consistent . I rang the clinic and the nurse pretty much said it couldnt tell me anything except could be start of AF or old blood or pesaries. Regardless I think I am out already . I always knew getting a positive result the first time Was a long shot but I thought I'd at least make it to test day (which now seems like light years away-next Wednesday).
On another note , peonie I have had better luck with IVFA (eastern suburbs) they already sorted out the Medicare stuff as I got the money in the bank last night

Lucky you Lillac ... but that makes me even more annoyed with the City clinic as they told me they can't submit the claim to Medicare until I'd had my pregnancy test & the cycle was finished! Not sure why - the outcome doesn't affect the rebate.
Update: I got the call from the FN yesterday with BT results from Friday. Now, they weren't even going to even do any more BTs, I asked for it because I was there (and wanted to check the progesterone was still going up) - they said it doesn't tell us much at this point, but okay. Well, they rang yesterday - progesterone had gone up to 58 (from 44) so that's great. Unfortunately HCG had only gone up to about 4100/4200 ( was out when she rang so didn't write it down), from 2159 on Monday. So that's about 4 days doubling time, after 2 days on the last one. She said that wasn't ideal and this could go either way, try not to worry too much & we'll see at the scan on Wednesday. So of course I immediately got really worried! Then about 30 mins after she rang I went to the loo & there was a bit of red blood again! We were out to lunch with friends, so got away as soon as we could & I told DH in the car. We went straight home & I went back to couch rest. But it was very minimal & stopped - just the occasional tiny bit of brown when wiping now, but usually nothing. However, I do feel a bit of that dull ache/pulling feeling a bit like cramps, even though not bleeding (could be progesterone?). I just don't know. Added together it doesn't look good, but we've been thinking that for weeks and it keeps hanging on & rising. And then I found several sites that say:
Within the first 2 - 4 weeks after fertilization, hCG usually doubles every 48 - 72 hours. That usually corresponds to hCG levels below 1200 mIU/ml. From 1200 - 6000, the hCG usually takes 72-96 hours to double. Above 6000 mIU/ml, the hCG often takes over four days to double. So, the rate of increase in hCG levels normally varies as a pregnancy progresses.
This gives me some hope. But feeling very anxious for Wednesday - the roller coaster ride continues!!
Hope everyone else is well!
