Good news Graciesmummy I have a feeling that's what mine worked out to be too.
Ja, I'm not too worried about GD really. I keep fairly active and don't eat too much sugary stuff. I'm happy to do whatever they advise me. Possible leaning towards Mater. I really like my midwife and they have local group sessions and doctors visits about 10 minutes from my house instead of the half hour to RBWH where I know I have to pay for parking. But RBWH is attached to my hospital, so if I go birth centre I can book my appointments for days I'm working. Maybe you'll wake up tomorrow loving your hair? Part of the reason I don't do anything to mine!
Don't know when Angelmummy's scan was but wasn't Daisy's this morning? Getting kind of worried

Thanks for well wishes ladies. I had a horrible day waiting for my scan. I had some spotting and really thought it was going to be bad news. But there was a heartbeat and I'm measuring 6 weeks which matches my dates pretty much. Heart rate was 113 which I though was low but they said was normal for this early. Hope this time my baby will be coming home xx

Sorry for the delay ladies - what an emotional 24 hours! MY BABY IS PERFECT! has had a massive growth spurt so OB is sure they were just stretching pains, thank God! Baby is now measuring 2 days ahead!
Fantastic news on your scan Angelmummy, I'm sorry you had to worry over the spotting though. Results sound great I hope they put your mind at ease x
Congrats on the awesome NT results Gracie's mummy!
Thank you all for your thoughts & kind words, I really don't know what I'd do without you all xxx

Sorry, I cannot keep up with all the posts to personally reply, my brain just won't cooperate!
Over the last few days I feel like all my symptoms are going away, which is terrifying me. Today DH organised an appt with the OB for Tuesday (first they had - they've put me on the cancellation list too). He said the receptionists were very calm about it and think it's totally normal, but after last time I can't help worrying. So another few days of panic before we get to find out if it is ok or not .

CC81 - I had that feeling that my symptoms were subsiding at 7+2. Then they came back a few days later. I heard that can happen and is normal.

Angelmummy, Rino & Daisy - Congratulations on great scans today!!! So glad to hear everything is going well for all 3 of you and you have perfect little babies with perfect little heart beats. It's such a great feeling to see that little heart beating away isn't it.
CC81 - I went through a panic stage around 7-8 weeks when my MS and sore boobs all of a sudden disappeared... but about 3 days later returned with a vengance!!! I hope your symptoms return soon to give you peace of mind. Your DH sounds absolutely lovely... i hope you are able to relax over the weekend and all goes well at your appointment on Tuesday.
WOP - Sounds like both the hospital and birth centre are really good options and you really couldn't go wrong. I guess in the end have a tour of both and see which one feels more like 'home'. Nice to have the choice at least!
Ja - Yeah... i bawled like a baby at Gracie's last day at her childcare! I was hopeless yesterday.
I'm sure your new hair looks super gorgeous and really suits you!! It is such a pain when it doesnt all fit in a ponytail though isn't it? I cut my hair short once... never again... i also dyed it dark once... never again. My DH wont let me cut my hair short, he would kill me!
AFM - Just kicking back watching my recording of One Born Every Minute. I find it really interesting watching how different women labour. I was absolutely silent and barely said a word when i was in labour (32hrs!!), it's funny to hear the screamers down the hall though.
Some of the Husbands on the show are funny though, there are a few i would slap!! The guy on this episode just keeps laughing at his wife and is playing on his phone and shoving food in his face which she is in agony with contractions.

So glad to hear we have such happy scan results in here today! Nice one AngelMummy and DaisyPetal!! I am so happy for you both to have the good news you have been hoping for.
Great NT results for you too Gracie'sMum. I watched one born every Minute at a friends house last night with her 2 daughters aged 9 and 11. They love it! I must admit I was a bit surprised they watch it but then thought well its better to have conversations about things that come up as a result of watching it with mum and then be open about it than have the very hush hush about 'womens problems' upbringing I had. My least fave dad was the one that thought it would be funny to lock his wife in the loo during a contraction. soo unfunny I got furious for her just watching it. But yeah I must admit I love watching it. Not too sure where I would fit in on the spectrum of quiet internalisation or screaming banshee. I had an epiduaral for medical reasons at 7 cms with DD and I was just starting to think gee this hurts!

Angelmummy- boo for the spotting but yay for a lovely heartbeat at 6 weeks! It's very early so that's great news for you and DH
Daisy- just a lovely growing bubby, delightful!
CC81- I'm sure everything will be fine, symptoms come and go all the time without anything being wrong
AFM: I'm PRETTY sure I felt Sprout move for the first time today
I had a stretching kind of pain and was telling him off then I felt this kind of knocking feeling more than a fluttering. Possible? Maybe the fluttery feelings I've been dismissing as gas have been Sprout for a little while now?
01-12-2011 21:30 #59
WOP - how exciting feeling Sprout for the first time!!!! Sounds like it was a good kick for sure! Obviously a defiant little one in there who doesn't like to be told off!
It's so hard to distinguish between gas bubbles/gurgles and flutters. I have felt a few the last couple of days but have dismissed them as bubnles... But who knows!!
Here's a laugh for you.... My OB was pressing around my uterus and tummy at my appointment tonight and as he pressed my tummy a fart shot out!!!! How embarrassing.... He laughed and said "oh, I hit a gas pocket!!". (horrified) and it was one of those ones that squeezes out and you try so hard to hold it in but it's sounds like an automatic machine gun... "bup bup bup bup"

Gracie'smummy - that is so mortifying yet hilarious at the same time!! i keep re-reading at it and laughing again!#$!@!@ ahhhhh, LOVE a good fart story!!!
