Default Thank you for all the replies!

I pick up my machine next week, my Auntie has a european made Elna that she has offered to me for $200 (was $3500 new) and comes with bags of bobbins and accessories specifically for it. Scored! Even comes with lessons from her on how to drive it.

I have my list of all your suggestions ready to go to Spotlight. I don't know if I'll get time to make much before Christmas so will wait and see if they have any sales on and stock up then.

Thanks again for all the suggestions, dresses for my daughter with matching fabric buttons here we come!

One more hint for those with the littlies....look for basic garments at the Op Shops for a couple of $$$$ and unpick them to make patterns (paper patterns are now at least $10 - $15) I found the BEST pair of shorts this way! I used the same pattern from when my kids were 18months to 4 years.
