Question Getting worked up for nothing?

    Hi there.

I just want to ask for some advise...
I was diagnosed with PCOS (polly cystic overran syndrome) after the birth of my son 8 years ago... The last couple of days my husband got worried because I am constantly warm (sweating in Europe when its winter outside) My tummy feels strangely swollen and uncomfortable. The other night I was throwing up for no reason...... Soooooo this morning I did a home pregnancy test and at first it was negative, and I discarded it. Then later I realized I did not wait the full 5 min for the test to develop properly. I went back to get it and there was a very very very faint line in the positive window.... It is extremely faint and I wonder if its not my imagination... Or if it is just the 'shadow' line that happens after you read it after the set time has elapsed....
I don't want to get my hopes up... any advice?

    Perhaps try another test
I've never heard of a 'shadow' on a test before? If you get another faint line perhaps some blood work in in order
BABYDUST!!!! Let us know how you get on.

Was the shadow line 'coloured'? Or was it whitish? If it was a visible colour then I think you should do another test. You definately do need to allow for the correct waiting time in order to get a result, especially if it is very early days.

    hey JordansMummy,

Its hard to say. From one angle it looks gray and from another its kind of pinkish... I will probably have to wait a few days and try again.... I am just super excited... (baby after 8 years....) or maybe I should NOT get so excited

I would definitely test again. I have PCOS and had a surprise pregnancy. My first test had a very faint line and I was 6 weeks along.

LOL!! I want to I really do. But I got only one from the pharmacy. The very strict old German lady behind the counter made me feel like a high school kid in a strip club. So I have one. And I have to make it a good one.... so first morning pee it is.....
