Fortitude - I kinda meant that due to most womens 'fear' or apprehension of giving themselves injections, I would prefer it over the messy pessaries. Sorry, didnt explain it very well!!

Hey Sunny... How you feeling about the whole IVF thing atm? Must be stressful and disappointing when you've had BFNs time after time. Did you discuss donor eggs any further? Where to from here?

Fortitude - Yes, DP and I have gone down the donor egg path. We had 4 eggs from a 34 year old donor...all fertilised, but one was a bit of a slow poke, so they let it go to see if it would get to a blastocyst, but it was still behind in development for a day 6 embie. 1 embie was put back, but resulted in a BFN in early April...the other 2 embies were frozen. My FS wants me to see a specialist about my low positive Anti Nuclear Antibodies (ANA) before we go through another cycle. I am completely in the dark on how ANA affects fertility/IVF but I guess I will find out next Tuesday.

Sunny- sorry I am terrible at remembering- I knew that once I read it that you had mentioned it. Haven't slept alot this year due to the injury/surgery and it is starting to take it's toll on my memory. You are so LUCKY to have a donor. I don't know anyone remotely suitable so really hope what I have left works. I haven't even heard of ANA, I hope that your specialist has some good news on Tuesday. You sound like you have tried it all and need a positive break.

fortitude... great news on starting your cycle...woowhoo come on AF... it always seems to arrive late when you dont want it to...lol. You will find the injections pretty ok.. the gonalF I barely feel it... although I find it has a strong odour... lets hope that you get jackpot with the first go...

leanne...yay on the haircut... so did you still like the colour the next morning? sounds like you were pretty happy with it... How did the visit with the FS go? any new insights or was it just one of those cycles???

Petrov.. how are things with you?

    Sunny.
.. lets hope that your visit goes well with the specialist... my understanding is that ANA is linked to microclots and immune issues- rejection of the embryo...so often its treated with prednisone 1 month prior to cycling and clexane. I hope you have some answers soon...

well Ive had a busy hideous week..... work has been flat out and Im very very sleep deprived thanks to DD being unwell with a cold and teething... I feel jealous of those stay at home mums that dont have to work after a night of no sleep. So I struggled through and now are on days off and recharging... need an arvo nap but somehow the time just disappeared...
Im having a 2 week pity party..lol... with comfort eating anything.... of course it does not help that the progesterone makes me hungry as well as my face is just a pimple feast... sigh... not feeling anything except unwell from the oral hormones and pretty constipated from the progesterone.. hoping that I can at least deal with that one over the next 24hrs and get some relief..Im soooo bloated.. still not made my mind up on when to do the beta... sometime between 14-16dpo (next mon-wed)... I took my last pregnyl shot today so that will not be out of the system until sunday or monday... sigh... just want to stop the drugs and get back to feeling normal.... and of course get some sleep...lol..

Doing star jumps... COME ON AF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are 8 days late! I have plans.
Something just occured to me. I have never WANTED my AF before. LOL

Micca- sounds like a very draining week. Maybe some easy meals of veggie soup and toasties for a few nights could help you recharge? Is that typical of progesterone- the constipation? I better eat my prunes when I get to that stage.

Sunny- bet you can't wait until Tues!

    Ladies... best wishes to all.

Fortitude - constipation and bloating is very very typical of progesterone....it is awful...it affects me very badly. I drank loads of water through my last cycle, which helped.

Micca - wow, you could do without 'hideous weeks' whilst going through the 2WW. Poor bubby having a cold and a double whammy with teething. My next door neighbours have just had their 3rd child and I see their lights on at all hours....I do wonder how I will cope when it finally happens to me (and it will), but I guess it just comes down to, we do what we have to do....wouldnt have it any other way. Forgive me Micca, when is Arabella's 1st birthday, I havent missed it, have I?

Hi everyone...would love to hear how you are all travelling.

sunny... its funny with a newborn but you do cope and love it... I remember I used to be so tired getting up at 4am for a feed...but at the same time I just loved having this little person close to me breastfeeding. I think it is all the mummy endorphins... I know you will be preggers by the end of the year... I have every confidence in you.... xxxx oh DD had her 1st birthday 2 months ago...scary stuff

Micca - Im so sorry I missed her birthday, that is so unlike me. I think you were the first on this thread that I really got to 'know' that went on to have a baby. Remember Sooz...I think she fell pregnant a month or two after you...I wonder how she is.

Thank you for the well wishes....my heart swell when I read your comment about being pregnant by the end of the year....funny, I kinda have a gut feeling of the same too....I so hope we are not wrong.
