    Hi Lilbirdy
Thanks for the welcome. I have the feeling that anyone in this age/IVF boat is bound to be wonderful Trust me I am praying for the asap dream (as we all are right?), DH says with such conviction "You will get your dream, you always do, I just know it". Congrats- I see you have a bub due in August! wow!
I see you mentioned Clexane. I am on Clexane too- due to an injury related (now resolved) blood clot. At first I freaked out because I thought it might hamper my IVF dream, but after some "Dr Google" research I found some research that RECOMMENDED it for use to prevent pre-eclampsia (which I have had 3 times). What do you know about Clexane? I am on 40/day and will be unitl I either have a baby or give up trying to have a baby.

    hi all..

thanks everyone for your advise and thoughts recently it was great to go visit my fs with questions rather than just nodding my head and agreeing with what he tells me we shall be doing ..

your stories can be so touching and heart breaking...

sunny my heart broke with you last week... i am so sorry for your pain and hope you don't have to experience the disappointment again next cycle.

leanne i have my egg collection tomorrow also... i also have 7 follicles.. which is a large improvement on my last cycle (4 follicles only one an egg it was too fragile to make it through icsi)... i am hoping with all my might that i have at least one egg that is strong enough to make it to transfer this time... one of my closest friends had her baby delivered today so i am hoping for her positive experience to rub off on me...

i will have my fingers crossed for you as well as myself tomorrow leanne.

    P

I will stay tuned in and gradually understand all the lingo- collections, cycles, FS and so forth. I am sure in next to no time it will all make sense to me.
Let me just start at this baseline by wishing everyone here the very best in making their dreams come true.

Hi ladies....I have surfaced from my chocolate induced debauchery weekend...oh and lots of soft cheese, smoked salmon and lovely red wine (I think I just did a Homer Simpson drool/shudder)!

Leannep - Good luck for EPU tomorrow...here's hoping there is a couple of sneaky follies in there, but more importantly, let's hope they all contain a healthy mature egg. What time is EPU and dont forget to let us know how it goes?

Micca - Yay for almost starting.....going to send out lots of prayers and vibes that this cycle does not get cancelled.

Lilbirdy - A little boy....how beautiful. Oh my goodness...you must still be on cloud 9. We will all follow you one day!!

Fortitude - WELCOME....I hope your visit here is short or should I say I hope your IVF journey is short and successful. We have beautiful, wonderful and very knowledgable ladies here....we share so much and are like our own little family....we laugh, celebrate and even cry with each other. My supplement regime is similar to Micca (not as many), however, mine may change slightly soon.

Petrof - Yay for EPU and good luck. What time is your EPU? You go girl...7 follies and I just know they are going to hold brilliant eggs!!!

    AFM
So Im back in the land of the living....got angry at the world for a little while and the only word that I could get out was why, why, why!!

Got in to see FS on Thursday afternoon....he said that he was very disappointed that the embryo didnt implant....well, imagine how I feel!!!!

He went through my file and the only thing he can think that maybe having a negative effect is my increased Anti-nuclear anti-bodies (ANA) 1:464. He has referred me to another physician to get an 'expert' opinion on my ANA and treatment....he is reluctant to just put me on clexane without a second opinion. And of course she is busy, so I cant get in to see her until 8 May, which roughly translates to not cycling again for possibly 2 months. DARN IT. Thought it was supposed to be easier with donor eggs.....NOT!!! FS doesnt really want to suggest my next protocol until after my ANA appointment.

So of course I dr googled over the weekend and I read that an increased ANA very basically means that my red blood cells somehow attack the red blood cells of an embryo and stops/kills the embryo from developing and therefore, it doesnt even get to a stage of implantation....if that is correct (given it is dr google), then it could explain why I have 5 out of 5 failed implantations - with my old eggs and also with much younger donor eggs. So its back to waiting for me

Thanks for the welcome, I appreciate it and know you guys will become my new BBF's on this mutual journey.

Sorry to be ignorant... but what is ANA? and how does Clexane relate? I am on Clexane atm as a post treatment for an injury related blood clot (now gone). I have to stay on it until after a bub is born or I quit IVF (whatever comes first- so a long time anyway). How does clexane relate to the ANA??

Sounds like ur FS disappointment would be like a grain of sand on your beach of disappointment. I think the disappointment is something I will struggle with, how do people cope?

    xoxo
