Before EPU FS thought it looked like 7 or more.
After... only 4. Will hear whether they are viable eggs this afternoon.
Devastated. Worried that it's not enough to even get a blasty for a transfer.
Feel like I am chasing a dream that will never come true and it breaks my heart.

    EDIT: 1egg viable...

I understand your disappointment Fort. Nevertheless one may pull something out of the hat to make you the happiest woman on earth! I truly hope for that for you.

fort hang in there... its always disappointing to get a low number but the golden egg may be one of those... it just means that the protocol you where on this time is probably not quite right for you yet...
lets hope that they all fertiise and you get some great embies...
this ivf is such a rollercoaster of emotions...

    fingerscrossed,
welcome to this thread of old and experienced ivfs... I hope that this round is the one for you both.
I managed to get pregnant with DD at 41.8yrs using donor sperm and it was the best thing. the FS said that young sperm really makes a difference with old eggs and improves quality. If you have any questions about vitamins..Im the vitamin queen around hear please feel free to ask... Im about to do a cycle in a few weeks and Ill be 44 then...eek..lets hope I can raise the bar for you all...

I am usually pretty good at not crying when the clinic calls
with bad news- like the chemical pregnancy and the frosty who didn't defrost.
BUT this time I couldn't stop myself crying like an idiot with
    relief!

Our (((1))) egg fertilised and fingers crossed it keeps growing for ET Monday!!!

My dream of finishing my family seems
    more real today.

    So, so, so happy.

    Emilia

hang in there fort... that little egg may be the one the golden goose layed...
I hope that it grows into a nice day 3 embryo.

the ivf rollercoast is a hard road..and one only the most determined and obessessed travel. I have been trying for number 2 now for nearly 1 year... and in that time I have had lots of cancelled cycles, bad cycles and dissappointments... but we do what we have to do and just keep chugging along taking the punches as they come.

Hey Ladies good to see your all still fighting the fight!!!! I have been dropping in keeping an eye on you all...... whilst trying hard to come to a decision about were we are at... still not really sure as we are both feeling pretty flat after 8 attempts our dilemma is 4 little donated frosties waiting on 1 hand and then a step son / his girlfriend thats really putting a lot of stress on our family at the minute its really made us think about being 60 and having the same issues with our own teenager!!!!!!!!! then i'll see two girls at work that a pregnant and get all teary-1 had 1/4 of a tube and bd once in 5 months and fell she's a real miracle and I wish it could be me.

At this stage we think we will have 1 more go before the years out (medicare is at maximum) which believe it or not will make it number 9 weird hey considering my user name is "tens2many" not sure how we use up all four embies in one cycle tho reckon we'll tell fs to thaw all four and pick the best 2 may even ask them to let them go to blasty...

    thanks for letting me share

    cheers
