Default Adding a badge to your site and a marketplace ad to your forum signature

I've 'designed' a couple of graphics to help you advertise your marketstall to other bubhubbers and to provide a reciprocal link back to bubhub on your site.

We would appreciate the reciprocal link back via your website, blog or FB or eBay store. However, this is not compulsory as we appreciate that some of you enjoy your anonymity on bubhub and providing those links might risk your friends and family finding your posts on bubhub.

To add a Badge to your website / store. If you've got a Facebook store, which makes it difficult to add the marketstall image below - instead, please 'like' the Bubhub Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/bubhub and make it a Featured Like so it shows on your page.

Insert this code onto your own web place to display the image shown at the bottom of this post:

    <a href="http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/vblinklist.php" tareget="new"><img src="http://www.bubhub.com.au/images/marketplacebadge.gif" width="150" height="150" alt="bubhub marketplace" border="0" /></a>

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is what a market place forum signature would look like

    marketplacesignature.gif

To place the image on another website or email signature.

Go into User Control Panel > Edit Signature

click on the Image icon and then input this as the address of the image http://www.bubhub.com.au/images/marketplacesignature.gif

Highlight the image, click on the link icon (the world with a paperclip) and enter the url of the marketstall as the link (image will be like this but with the number after the &id= changed to the id of your marketstall
    http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...showentry&id=4

Replace the number after the &id= in the web address with the id of your market stall.

Now I use the word 'designed' in the very loosest sense. Design is not my thing. If anyone has better designs, please just post them in here and we can vote on the viewers favourite designs.

If you've put the old designs on your site or in your signature, and we change to a new design, don't worry, I can make the image change automatically on your site or signature so you won't need to make any changes yourself.

It doesn't work. This is what it looks like after I did what you said and it doesn't come up as a signature. Just a bunch of letters and links like this:

    <a href=” http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...y&id=http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/vblinklist.php?do=showentry&id=6”><img src=”http://www.bubhub.com.au/images/marketplacesignature.gif” width=”400” height=”30” border=”0” alt=”bubhub marketplace stall” /></a>

Have you got a link or something where I can download and save that new badge and make the link myself? It just doesn't seem to work and I know I got it to work with any of the other badges I made before.

    OK

What you need to do is go into User Control Panel > Edit Signature
click on the Image icon and then input this as the address of the image http://www.bubhub.com.au/images/marketplacesignature.gif
Then you highlight the image, click on the link icon (the world with a paperclip) and enter the url of the marketstall as the link (image will be like this but with the number after the &id= changed to the id of your marketstall

I'll edit the How to Guide to make that clearer

The image doesn't show up when I use this link: http://www.bubhub.com.au/images/marketplacesignature.gif It's blank.

Even the field that comes up when you click "edit signature" is different to what it used to be. Its narrow now. It used to be quite a large field

I've asked BHTech to fix the view on the edit signature box so it's wider and the emoticons are below rather than to the side.

What browser do you use? I wonder if it's a problem with that at all? Works fine for me if I just use the image icon. When you click on the image icon, do you get a box open up that enables you to add the url for the image and then you click ok ?

Oops, I figured out the problem. I use firefox and have this program running called "Ad Block Plus". It disables any pictures with links attached (like ads).
All fixed now. Though wasn't there an new image made by AP?
