It's great to see that there is now a section for IUI/IUDI.
DH and I have just found out recently that we have to go down the IUDI path and the fertility specialist said we can only have one shot at this and then he will put us on IVF so that we aren't wasting donor sperm.
I feel like it is putting a lot of pressure on me to make it work so I guess I am looking for a bit of support/advice from people who are going through the same thing.
We had our appointment with the nurse today to pick a donor and go through the process and we can start as soon as I get to cd1, in approximately 2 weeks which is great but has been a lot to take in today.
Where is everyone else at in their IUI/IUDI journey? xx

To everyone this past cycle
Chubear, that includes you whatever happens! Keep us in the loop!
Welcome Angel we are all at a few different stages in our cycle, but I'm sure you will catch up on that soon!
I know IVF is more invasive, but it seems kinda more direct and helping to move closer to a BFP. Maybe I am a bit naiive about it, but that is how I see it.
I think we may go down that path if the next cycle doesn't work for us.
Anyway, I think it is a really good idea having a baby free talk zone for the next few weeks. I totally agree that it will allow other lovely thoughts into our lives.
I am going away for a week, so will try to get on here when I get the chance.
All the best to everyone for the new year, and plenty of to all!!!

I'm out .
Spent quite a few hours crying the last 24hours.
Feel like I must be a bad person for this to be happening (not rational i know, but I'm hormonal and sad)
One of the ladies at work is four months of-I can barely even look at her- I feel like such a horrid person when that happens!
Am planing a good nye-my bf is planning to keep me nice and tipsy all night.
I'm hoping the tears will be gone by then!
Dh has been so good, though he's sad too.
We can't afford ivf yet, so will keep on iui-ing until we can. Maybe mid next year? Anyway to start with we are taking Jan off. No trying, no opking, no counting.
I'll stick around to see if the rest of you get some bfps!!

I think it's just that everyone is busy or away over Christmas and new year. Could also be that some people's clinics are closed so there's nothing new to report?
So in non baby making terms, how is everyone going?

The thread has been very quiet lately, hasn't it? I've been away for Christmas, so I've only just caught up with emails etc.
We managed to sneak in a quick IUI on the last day that our clinic was open before Christmas, miraculous!
I'm now 12dpo, and this morning I couldn't resist the urge to test any longer and had a brilliantly obvious BFP! Wow!
I'm still in shock, and trying to keep a level head. Oh I hope that there's a lovely little embryo growing in there!
Lots of love to you all, I hope you've all had a great Christmas and New Years

Congratulations Mellington! So lovely to hear!
Was getting worried about you, not seeing any posts
from you! Wow!
Chubear, I think we are all away or just taking
some time out, but to you, sorry for the delay!
I am away at the moment, but will be back
on board by the weekend.
Have a really nice break everyone, every
single one of us deserves that right now.

Hello lovely ladies
I was wondering if you mind me joining your thread, I will be doing IUDI at the end of this month. Will be our first cycle using donor sperm so it's pretty exciting!
It does feel like a bit of a step backwards after doing IVF but financial difficulties won't allow us to go there again for awhile, so I am hoping that using donor sperm will be what gets us across the line
Does anyone know if back to back IUI is done in Australia (where they do it 2 days in a row) or is that just an American thing? Thinking of asking FS about doing it but don't want to sound silly lol
Looking forward to getting to know all of you and share our journeys together
