Default **distressing** Toddler in hit and run and ignored by passers by.

    This is just so awful.
The video is massively disturbing so please be careful of watching.

    http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/-/w...parks-outrage/

    It made me cry.

How can people be so cruel?
I remember when DS got lost. He was in an easter egg hunt and could not find me. He was sobbing and only about 5.
Out of the hundreds of people, not one person stopped to ask him if he was ok.
My friends child sprained her ankle last week , on the way home from school and was sitting on the path crying, not one mother stopped.

    WTF is wrong with people?

I didn't watch the video, but read the article.

I don't understand. I remember a thread here a while back saying that people are too frightened to help out other's children due to how the parents may react. I've always thought, I'd rather cop an earful/be accused etc than have a child hurt/killed and me ignoring it

    What has happened to humans?

I can't bring myself to watch - although I am getting the gist of the story. Horrifying....what is wrong with the world today?

I couldn't watch it, but I saw the picture and it's just awful.

I cannot imagine why someone would walk past a child lying like that without checking.

I advise you all not to watch it, I watched it this morning and felt physically sick to my stomach. It's a really sad world we live in when people won't help a dying toddler on the street, honestly what is this world coming to?!?

I saw this on ninemsn this morning. I haven't watched the video, can't bring myself to either. It makes me so sad that any society would do this.

Thank god we have the Good Samaritan Law here and people don't have to worry about being persecuted for doing the wrong thing in an emergency situation. Something like this would be less likely to happen.

    It's no excuse though. Sickening.

Oh my goodness... I didnt watch the movie either but the story with the stills is full on enough. Poor little girl that is so horrible.

I remember when i was about 10 riding to school with my brother on the main road and I ran into a prickly bush and was sooo upset. We werent far from home so my bro ran to get mum. An electricity worker in his big truck stopped and waited with me til mum got there to make sure I was ok then offered to drop us at school

This was too distressing to watch the video - the still was enough.
I wonder if old held beliefs about the values of young girls is the main reason behind this?
Otherwise, society's going down the gurggler.
